Voy a dar una charla sobre el papel de las mujeres en la revolución egipcia (y la primavera árabe en general) este lunes, el 6 de febrero. Póster adjunto.
Dirección: C/ Mare de Déu del Pilar 15, Barcelona.
I will be giving a lecture on the role of women in the Egyptian Revolution (and the Arab Spring in general) this Monday, 6 February. Poster attached.
Address: 15 Mare de Deu del Pilar Street, Barcelona.
Today I gave a lecture at Wikalat al-Kharroub at the heart of Fatimid Cairo, titled “Egypt, between the Islamic & the Coptic Cultures”. The program included:
– Egypt in the Shadow of the Crescent & the Cross (Storytelling)
– Postcards from Egypt (Slideshow)
– Reflections on the Current Situation
– Open Discussion
The lecture was organized in collaboration between ‘Pen Temple Pilots’, ‘For New Egypt Community’ and ‘FEDA Association’.
Today I give a lecture on the Arab Spring at the Faculty of Economic, University of Barcelona, invited by a group of activists. The focus will be given to Egypt and Tunisia.
This is a short radio interview that I gave to Radio 4 (rtve) of Catalonia about the Egyptian Revolution on Feb 14, 2011. The funny part is that all the questions are in Catalan, and all my answers are in Spanish:
One of the most important questions was: “how come people are celebrating when the Army has taken over?!”
Today I give a lecture on the revolution in Egypt at the headquarters of En Lluita, an association of political activists. The focus will be given to the stepping down of Mubarak and the future scenarios.
